SkyCloudPhoto is a warm, slow journal about Photography, Travel, Korea and Fashion

Oh hi, didn’t see you there. Nice to meet you! I’m Patrik, but you can call me Pepe. That’s what most people call me anyway. Some people I know don’t even know my real name.

I’m 35 years old, and I’ve been passionate about photography since 2018. I started by taking pictures of my cats at home with my smartphone, but I quickly felt limited by it and bought my first camera.

In 2019, I went on my first trip to Korea and fell in love with Seoul. I started learning Korean, and since 2023, I’ve been returning every year. Much of my photography portfolio was shot in Seoul. The city has a lot to offer anyone who enjoys urban photography: each district has its own atmosphere, and the people, buildings, and streets all give you something different to capture. That variety makes photographing Seoul incredible fun.

After my second visit, in 2023, I also developed an interest in fashion, inspired by Seoul’s fashion-forward culture. During my first trip, I was too busy taking everything in to pay much attention to it. Since then, however, my personal style has changed considerably, and I now do much of my shopping while I’m in Seoul.

With all that said, this website is going to be my creative outlet. I’ll write about a variety of subjects, including photography, travel, Korea, language learning, fashion, and fragrances. Posts will be categorized by topic, so you can quickly find the things that interest you. And, in the interest of full transparency, the site will also give me a place to show off some of my photography, which I’m very happy to do.

Somewhere between getting lost and finding the right light.

If you find me out in the wild, feel free to talk to me. My mother tongue is German but I speak English fluently and I also speak a decent amount of Korean. If I have my camera with me, I can take a picture for you as well.
