1. Who is responsible
The controller responsible for this website is:
Patrik Günther
Stembergstr. 24c

Germany
Email: info@skycloudphoto.com
If you have questions about how your personal data is handled, please use the contact details above.
2. Visiting this website
When you visit this website, your browser sends technical information to the server so that the requested page and its images can be delivered. This includes your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested URL, and technical information about your browser. Alfahosting GmbH in Germany hosts the website and processes this information on my behalf to operate and secure it.
The legal basis for operating and securing the website is my legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The blog is delivered directly through Alfahosting, without a separate CDN or proxy. The theme’s fonts are served from this website.
3. Contacting me
If you use the contact form or email me, I process the details you provide to answer your message. The form asks for your name, email address, topic, and message. If you arrive from an article, its title and link may also be included so that I know what your question concerns. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
The form is provided through Fluent Forms. Submissions are saved as entries in this website’s WordPress database and are accessible only to me. Form notifications and replies use the info@skycloudphoto.com mailbox and SMTP service hosted by Alfahosting. I do not use your contact details for marketing merely because you contacted me.
For ordinary questions and feedback, the legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your message concerns entering into or performing a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR may apply instead.
You are not legally required to contact me. The form’s required fields are needed to send and answer a message; without them, I may not be able to process your enquiry. You can use the email address above instead of the form.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish genuine messages from automated spam. When the form loads, your browser connects to Cloudflare. Cloudflare describes the technical signals it processes in its Turnstile privacy information.
4. First-party website statistics
I use my own SkyCloud Stats plugin to understand which pages are viewed and how often links to my print listings are clicked. Page-view and click collection and source classification are enabled. The plugin stores daily totals rather than individual visitor profiles.
For page views, those totals contain the date, event type, WordPress page or article ID, and count. For clicks to Etsy or Displate, they contain the date, store name, image attachment ID, and count. The browser classifies the referring source locally into a limited category and sends only that category for an aggregate count.
The plugin does not store visitor IDs, full referrer URLs, IP addresses, user agents, or individual event records in its statistics tables. A request to this website’s server nevertheless transmits an IP address and may appear in the hosting logs described above. Aggregated statistics are intended to be retained for 13 calendar months. The plugin schedules a daily cleanup; its execution depends on site traffic unless a host cron is configured.
5. Links to Etsy and Displate
Some photographs link to my print listings on Etsy or Displate. Clicking a link takes you to that marketplace, which handles your visit under its own privacy terms. I do not receive your marketplace account details or purchase information merely because you follow the link. I count outbound clicks in the aggregate manner described above. These are links to my own listings, not affiliate or referral links.
6. Embedded YouTube videos
Some articles include YouTube videos. Initially, the video block displays a local placeholder; it does not load a YouTube frame, poster, script, or thumbnail. If you click “Load YouTube video,” the page creates a YouTube-nocookie.com embed. Your browser then connects to YouTube or Google, which may receive your IP address and technical information and may set cookies or use similar technologies.
The choice is temporary for that page visit and is not stored as a preference. There is no in-page unload control; leaving or reloading the page removes the embed but cannot undo information already sent. With JavaScript disabled, the page offers an explicit link to open the video on YouTube. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The theme’s self-hosted fonts and SkyCloud Stats aggregate counters do not themselves set analytics cookies or create visitor IDs. This does not mean that the entire WordPress site is cookie-free.
8. Recipients and international transfers
Alfahosting GmbH handles hosting and email, and Cloudflare provides the Turnstile spam check. An active YouTube embed can connect your browser to Google. If you follow a marketplace link, the destination platform processes your visit under its own responsibility. Authorities may also require access where the law provides for it.
9. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise a right, contact me using the details above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
10. Changes to this notice
I may update this notice when the website or its service providers change. The version available on this page is the current one.
